Discover more allergy medicines!

Hallo my dear ;) Dr Melissa D. Miller’s very glad to see you and to help you. Today I’d like to continue discussing allergy medicines. And today I’ll pay my attention to the medicine called Clarinex.

Clarinex’s an antihistamine. What does antihistamine mean? It means that Clarinex protects from histamine. It’s important because histamine’s a substance which’s inside your body and it’s released by immune system during an allergic reaction. So Clarinex can help to relieve the symptoms of indoor and outdoor allergies. I have already given you information concerning allergy symptoms. Clarinex can also de an ongoing itching and hives medicine. But remember that Clarinex can’t treat asthma. It can only treat indoor allergy in adults who’re ill with mild-to-moderate asthma.

Let’s talk about Clarinex dosage.

1) Clarinex(desloratadine)Tablets’s available in 5 mg dose and should be taken once a day. It’s prescribed for children who’re 12 years old and over;

2) Clarinex-D 12 hour Extended Release Tablets’s available in 2.5 mg dose and should be taken twice a day by children who’re 12 years old and over;

3) Clarinex-D 24 hour Extended Release Tablets’s available in 5 mg and should be taken once a day by children who’re 12 years old and over;

4) Clarinex Reditabs’s available in 2.5 mg dose for children aged 6 and older and a 5 mg dose for children aged 12 and older. It should be taken once a day. Moreover, Clarinex Reditabs has sweet "tutti frutti" flavor for children. And it’s treats not only indoor and outdoor allergies but also chronic idiopathic urticaria and hives.

5) Clarinex Syrup’s available in 0.5 mg per 1 ml for infants as young as 6 months with indoor allergy and for children as young as 2 years with outdoor allergy. Clarinex Syrup comes in a bubblegum flavor. It should be taken once a day in the morning.

In general, Clarinex can be taking with or without food (but with food it’s better) and at the same time.

Of course, you can trust this information but I suggest you to visit a doctor and choose the right dose.

What about side effects!? The most common side effects of Clarinex’re nausea, headache, fatigue, sore throat or dry mouth. If you’re interested in getting more information about Clarinex you should visit your doctor. Anyway, during your treatment you should be under doctor’s care.

Good luck! See you next timeJ
